Celebrate the grand re-opening of Eva’s Port Credit with FREE ICE CREAM for the first 35 customers!

We’re so pleased to share that Eva’s Original Port Credit (53 Lakeshore Road East) is now owned by a new franchisee, Jose Zepada, and will be celebrating on June 1 with a Grand Re-opening!

Jose moved to Canada from Mexico in November 2016 to study English, and began working part time serving at Eva’s in 2017. A year later he was promoted to Store Manager and then in 2019 to Operations Manager, looking after ordering and inventory for all of Eva’s locations. When Eva’s began to franchise, Jose identified the opportunity to take over Port Credit.

Says new Owner/Operator Jose: “I come from an entrepreneurial family and owning and growing my own business has been a dream of mine. Eva’s was a natural step due to my familiarity with the team and the amazing opportunities I see in Port Credit. My parents have been an amazing support and I know I will be working closely with both my family in Mexico and the Eva’s family here.”

Says Kristin Finley, Co-Founder of Eva’s: “When I first met Jose we weren’t actually hiring but he made such an impression on me that we brought him on anyway. He quickly became a staple of Eva's culture – his humour and work ethic are admired by colleagues and customers alike, and he could teach a course on how to roll a Chimney Cone®!”

Eva’ Port Credit not only serves our famous menu of ice cream-filled Chimney Cones and classic Chimney Cakes, but also has a full menu of vegan burger and taco offerings from Guerrilla Burger and Happy Taco. The location has plenty of indoor seating, and food from all brands is also available on delivery apps.

For the official Grand Re-Opening Celebration, on June 1, Eva’s Port Credit will be giving away free Chimney Cones to the first 35 customers! Get there early as they will go fast.

Eva’s is now franchising across Canada with opportunities in all provinces. We currently have franchise locations in St John’s and Halifax and will be shortly reopening Bloor and Square One with new franchisees, too.
